Ice Cream Social, Craft and Yard Sale

The Annual Ice Cream Social, Craft and Yard Sale runs from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. offering you a wide range of activities.  Tour the Homestead and visit Abigail's Farm Stand with fresh vegetables, baked goods, and much more.  Find treasures among the many yard sale tables or rent your own space to sell treasures to others.  New this year will be local craft vendors so you can start your holiday shopping early.  Top it all off with hot dogs, ice cream sundaes and other goodies.     Ten by ten foot spaces are available to craft, antique and/or yard sale vendors for $25 each.  Bring your own tables, tents, etc.  Reserve your space now in this well established and well advertised event by contacting Joyce Cahill at (860) 651-1329 or at viceregentctdar@comcast.net

Annual Colonial Supper

The annual Colonial Ham & Bean Supper at Matthies Hall on the grounds of the Oliver Ellsworth Homestead, 778 Palisado Ave., Windsor will be held on Saturday, September 12, from 4:30 PM until 7:00 PM.  The supper will be accompanied by the music of the Gaslight Gang.  Step back in time and enjoy the best of three centuries.  The Connecticut Daughters of the American Revolution will serve a traditional Colonial meal of ham, baked beans, potato salad, copper pennies, raisin bread, dessert and beverage.   The music of the Gaslight Gang celebrates the Gay ‘90’s through the Roaring ‘20’s.  Admission is $12 for adults and $4 for ages under 8.  For more information, please contact the Oliver Ellsworth Homestead at (860) 688-8717.
