Connecticut Daughters of the American Revolution
Organized April 19, 1894
Sunday, weekday and evening Chapter
meetings are held October,
November, and February to May at the Old Fairfield Academy
(Town Green, Old Post Road). Community receptions are held for
Veterans' Day, Town Christmas Tree Lighting, and Independence Day.
A family picnic in May precedes the Town Memorial Day Parade.
The Thaddeus Burr Chapter of C.A.R. is active with events
for children age 5-21. A 19th C schoolroom museum
is on the second floor of the Academy.
